What is it about?
While teachers describe spending a lot of time and effort on feedback, trainees are consistently dissatisfied with it. Why the mismatch? We discuss how using the concept of feedback literacy can make feedback interactions more useful for trainers and trainees alike

Why is it important?
Feedback has the potential to improve academic achievement by almost twice as much as the average teaching strategy. Given learners feel they either do not get enough feedback or useful feedback, this is an untapped potential despite the amount of time invested in feedback. This model allows both teachers and learners to consider the key aspects in becoming feedback literate and thereby using feedback effectively.
