What is it about?

The study deals with the determination of thermal and mechanical properties like specific heat, conductivity, breaking, etc. of Black pepper at ambient and lower temperature regime.

Why is it important?

Black pepper is mostly consumed in powder form.To obtain the best quality of black pepper powder regarding taste, aroma cryogenic grinding is widely used. Further, to enhance the quality of powder and to improve the cryo-griding condition the properties of the raw material (seed) should be determined under such low-temperature condition.

Perspectives

This research will be helpful in the heat transfer modeling for cryogenic grinding of black pepper serving the properties as input parameters.
