What is it about?

The trend toward miniaturization of electronic devices has increased the interest in nano scale heat transport, particularly, in laser-excited solids where electron–electron thermalization and electron-phonon coupling play a key role.

Why is it important?

The model is expected to be useful for modeling heat wave propagation phenomena in different systems to modify material surface or create new metamaterials.

Perspectives

I hope that the model may be useful in interpretation experimental result of ultrafast laser irradiation of different systems.
