Agenus is working on several new cancer treatments, called immunotherapies. These treatments help the body’s own immune system fight cancer in different ways. This makes immunotherapy different from chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery, because immunotherapy trains the body to recognize and destroy cancer cells, without harming healthy cells or tissue. The goal is to bring these innovative new medicines to patients around the world.
This showcase brings together the research that Agenus are doing on an immunotherapy called BOT+BAL that combines two different treatments, Botensilimab and Balstilimab. These treatments are designed to work together to activate the body’s immune system against cancer, including cancers that have not responded to prior treatments. BOT+BAL is currently in late-stage clinical trials.
