What is it about?
Technology has transformed teaching and learning, and assessment has also been affected. This chapter presents the history and evolution of technology-enhanced assessment in language testing, from the introduction of computer-based testing in the mid-1980s to recent advances, and then focuses on Computer Assisted Language Testing (CALT) as a field.
