A Modified Rowe Cell with Bender Elements for Small Strain Shear Modulus Measurements

What is it about?

We introduce a novel experimental device, a modification of a conventional Rowe cell, fitted with multiple bender elements. The device enables the measurement of the small strain shear modulus of geomaterials under controlled loading, water pressure and saturation, and in multiple directions simultaneously.
