What is it about?

ELF awareness is an important new notion in ELT. We describe its role and usefulness for teachers and clarify the function of change (and, in effect, transformation) in stakeholders' perspectives about key concerns in ELT, such as the role of the native speakers of English, norms and standards, the issue of ownership of the language by it so-called non-native users, as well as the role of teaches pedagogues and agents of change for their own learners.
