What is it about?

Mapping of cholera hotspots is crucial in targeting cholera prevention, preparedness and response interventions in the context of limited resources. Combining historical epidemiologic indicators and WASH vulnerability indicators allows us to further prioritize hotspots to allow a risk-based approach when deploying resources.

Why is it important?

Hotspot mapping using a risk-based approach allows decision makers to focus resource allocation and also to facilitate intervention selection and prioritization.
