What is it about?
We perform the first real vision study of people over 50 years old, after vision correction using a new type of contact lenses, Light Sword Lens™, designed by us. As we show, such lenses with angularly changing optical power provide stable, high-quality vision at all functional distances from 33 cm to infinity. In addition, contrast sensitivity after correction is close to normal, healthy vision.

Why is it important?
There are many designs of corrective lenses designed to compensate for vision problems that occur after the age of 50. Especially the lack of accommodation becomes a problem for people in the modern, changing world where we have to constantly change the distance of our eyesight from the mobile phone to the environment, from the computer screen to our interlocutors. None of the solutions available on the market makes it possible to obtain high-quality vision at all distances with the same quality. So new performance lenses like the Light Sword Lens™ are in high demand.
