What is it about?
Women's empowerment has been difficult to see and understand because there just isn't great data. Taking advantage of a survey that is used in many countries, we were able to create maps of women's empowerment with regards to Intimate Partner Violence, Family Planning, Reproductive Healthcare, Employment, Education, and Decision-Making in three different years (1995, 2005, and 2015).

Why is it important?
These estimates are designed to be usable as base data for other work, a guideline for women are doing better and worse, and an idea of what sorts of things might improve women's lives based on what aspects are lacking in a given place.
