This article explains some of the challenges we encountered recruiting family caregivers through social media. During our recruitment, we also identified some opportunities and shared them in this article.

Why is it important?
Understanding how to lessen caregiver burden and improve the quality of life for family caregivers is an important goal for family caregiver researchers. Understanding how best to recruit this difficult to reach population is important.
Perspectives
We are happy to share our experiences with social media recruitment and hope that our work connects us with authors doing similar work. In addition, we hope our efforts are useful to other researchers.
