What is it about?
In 2012 across the UK there was an unexplained simultaneous increase in both deaths and medical admissions. In Northern Ireland deaths rose from 14,000 per year to 15,000. This large step-increase occurred at a point early in January 2012 and endured for 12-months before reverting back to the baseline.
