What is it about?
The total-field magnetic anomaly is observed data, and the projection (Tap) of the anomalous vector onto the normal geomagnetic field is the target of many magnetic exception processing methods. In the traditional method, we use ΔT direct approximation as a Tap, which has a large error in the case of strong magnetic anomalies. So we developed an optimization strategy to transform the total-field magnetic anomaly into the projection (Tap) of the anomalous vector onto the normal geomagnetic field.

Why is it important?
We developed an optimization strategy to transform the total-field magnetic anomaly into the projection (Tap) of the anomalous vector onto the normal geomagnetic field. So that we can directly use Tap as magnetic anomaly data to improve the effect of magnetic anomaly processing and interpretation.
