What is it about?

While depression is a concern for people with impaired language after stroke (aphasia), positive mood is also prevalent. This study showed that picture scales can be used to discuss mood with people who have aphasia.

Perspectives

Tools that facilitate discussion of mood between healthcare providers and people with aphasia can lead to improved emotional support. This is an area where more therapy tools are needed for improved clinical practice.
