What is it about?
This study shows the importance of a quality assessment for learning apps. In Austria, there is currently a quality assessment called "quality seal" (German: Gütesiegel) for learning apps. 2 learning apps are presented and tested in class with secondary school students, to evaluate their advantage or issues. Furthermore. The apps are analyzed with the Austrian quality assessment, wether those two would get a quality seal, or not.

Why is it important?
Quality assessment for learning apps are important to reduce possible Cybercrimes, unwanted content, purchases, advertisment, or unwanted learning outcomes
Perspectives
It is important that Austria and its assessment serves as a role model for other countries, assissting educators, students, and parents choosing the right learning app wisely (no ads, no additional payment, no unwanted content)
