What is it about?

We designed a game for the ruins of an ancient city prototyping a physical tool with smart objects that unlock videos showing the daily life in the ancient size and allowing the players to transform it into a play space. We also drew the theoretical framework encompassing game design constructs like magic circle, narrative level, immersion and agency.

Why is it important?

This work is important because it show how to design a game for Cultural Heritage. Also it shows the process of early prototyping and testing for the Internet of Things. Finally it makes the point of some important theoretical concepts for successful Game Design

Perspectives

This article could be useful for drawing a background section for Cultural Heritage and/or Game Design. Also it could show how to successfully design a game by presenting some possible theoretical tools that could make the game working. Finally it could be useful for those working with Internet of Things and needing to make rough prototypes and test them.
