Why is it important?

To evaluate the analgesic efficacy and the rate of complications of the invasive techniques in the Palliative Care Services, and improve the results.

Perspectives

The analgesic efficacy of these techniques has been adequate but patients who required epidural catheters had a higher rate of complications. It would be desirable to find predictors of efficacy and quality to offer the best treatment to this type of patient.
