What is it about?
Viral disease causes severe yield losses of cereal crops. Identification and mining of resistance genes would provide valuable resource for the improvement of crop disease resistance. Here, we cloned the first virus resistance gene encoding a typical CNL protein in monocot plant and demonstrated its potential for improving cereal crops.
