What is it about?

We investigate peculiar components of molecular pathways that are essential for survival of parasites that cause human diseases. The main idea is to identify differences of parasite cell in comparision with human cells, aiming to improve the drug therapy.

Why is it important?

We observed that mRNA export pathway in toxoplasma is not conserved as for other eukaryotic cells. It leads to investigation of new and specific factors of this parasite.

Perspectives

I am motived to dissect the specific components of Toxoplasma and other parasites. The data acquired will help to initiate more detailed investigations into this fundamental topic in a novel way.
