What is it about?

This article reports a research with patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Patients told researchers what they live, what they experience, how they feel in everyday life after being hospitalized.

Listening to the patients and recognizing their needs improve the care and the awareness of health professionals, caregivers, decision-makers.

Perspectives

Phenomenology allowed us to enter the intimate experience of patients often suffering in silence. I hope this article can contribute to the awareness and sensitivity of healthcare professionals.
