Whether and how aspects such as subjective norms, attitudes, perceived behavioural control, and job versus career aspirations influence the intentions of Cypriot unemployed women to adopt employee- and employer-driven flexible work arrangements.

Why is it important?

This study is one of the few applications of the theory of planned behaviour on issues relevant to work and career and perhaps the only application of the theory that suggests theme-specific adjustments of the theory to improve its ability to predict individual intentions. Further, this study contributes to the existing body of research on women and FWAs by focusing on the considerably under-researched group of unemployed women in Cyprus, a country that belongs to the southern European regime.
