What is it about?
Public service motivation is an important aspect of public agents' motivation. But few research and studies are dedicated to the relationships between public policies and the levels of public service motivation among public employees. This article is precisely dedicated to this specific question. Does PSM depend on the nature of public policies?

Why is it important?
It is of great interest because it is expected that PSM may greatly differ with respect to the types of public policies implemented in different public organisations.
Perspectives
The perspective developed in this article is of great interest and other studies have been developed demonstrating that the question we tackled in 2013 is an important and central one, specifically when it comes to understand the antecedents (levers and hindrances) of PSM.
