What is it about?
I investigate the progress made in the United Arab Emirates towards achievement of gender equality as stated previously in Millennium Development Goal (3). Now the UN sustainability goal 5.

Why is it important?
It is important to investigate gender in/equality around the world because of the impact on business, and a country's advancement towards human rights and to increase the quality and choice of human resources in the global labour market.
Perspectives
The progress in the United Arab Emirates towards achievement of Millennium Development Goal (3), “gender equality” is ongoing. Great steps in education but the recruitment, retention and promotion of women in employment is still poor. That poverty of women in the workforce and senior positions will continue to have negative effect on the economy of a country
