What is it about?
The purpose of this conceptual paper was to investigate the contribution of the ‘Pipeline’, as a metaphor for building theory about Women from education through careers to leadership in the Arab world.

Why is it important?
This study is important for consideration of the progress women are making in education and workplace in the Arab world. Especially to measure progress towards the UN Sustainability goal 5 'Gender Equality' https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/gender-equality/
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had a long standing collaboration. This article also led to further input to the virtual center for women and Leadership (MENA), and ultimately to a greater awareness about progress towards women's equality in the Arab world
