Why is it important?
People and money are scarce resources in terms of cybersecurity. You should therefore use them wisely and where they reap the most benefit. The use of scientific models should replace gut feelings and FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) as decision support, our research tells you how.
Perspectives

Our intuition tells us that there is point when you don't need more protection. Our research demonstrates how to identify and quantify that point. Moreover, the findings are not limited to cybersecurity. I have implemented and tested the models in software tools for both cybersecurity and project risk to verify their generality
