What is it about?
Language involves sequences of sounds, and mathematics involve sequences of numbers. Our main finding was that children's ability to learn visuospatial sequences was associated with their ability to add and subtract numbers.

Why is it important?
Our findings suggest that the ability to learn sequences in general is important for the learning of mathematics (and language). This conclusion could be used when intervening with children who have difficulties in mathematics and language.
Perspectives
I did this research as part of an internship at University College London. Sequence learning became one of the topics in which I am the most interested.
