Why is it important?
A the heart is an epistemological point about any quantitative score on a FLE/ FLCA (sub)dimension being unable to cover the whole complexity and richness of the dimension. Scores on dimensions are great because it allows stats and some generalizability, but human experience cannot be entirely quantified, and values on a dimension should not be essentialised. Hence the importance of an emic dimension, hearing participants' voices and unique experiences.
