Perspectives
I have always been a fan of Laila Kinnunen. Soon after the box set of her complete studio recordings was released I wrote a media review on it. For this review, I went through the most important bibliography on Kinnunnen. I have also earlier studied "jazziskelmä" (which translates as "the Finnish jazz-pop hit song") in detail. I submit that I succeeded in summarizing Kinnunen's legacy, fresh aspects on jazziskelmä and the Finnish popular music history of the 1950s and 60s in these few pages.
