What is it about?
It describes how a DNA methylating enzyme can modulate neuronal morphology by regulating gene expression through interactions with histone modifying complexes

Why is it important?
The knowledge about the role of epigenetic mechanisms in orchestrating inhibitory interneuron development is still very fragmented. However, epigenetic gene control appears extremely important for setting up discrete transcription programs in particular interneuron subsets displaying subtype-specific modes of development, which is addressed here.
