What is it about?

In this study, we explain a simple and eco-friendly method for synthesis of the smart silver nanoparticles, using walnut green husk extract. We observed these nanoparticles are safe toward normal cells while they are very toxic against breast cancer cell line. We believe covering nanoparticles with bioactive compounds of the extract is responsible for the activity.

Why is it important?

This method is very simple and safe and results in the desirable and efficient nanoparticles. Moreover, the selective cytotoxicity properties of the synthesized nanoparticles can reduce concerns existing on the side effects of biomedical applications of silver nanoparticles.

This article is one of the most comprehensive researches conducted on the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles and their biological activity. All results and observations have been well-interpreted and rational reasons detailed mentioned for each one, using other authoritative articles. I hope you also find this article thought-provoking.
