Use of questionnaires in colour research

What is it about?

This paper discusses possible methodological pitfalls in using questionnaires such as social desirable answers, misunderstanding of questions, poor or wrong memory of experiences in the past, and different responses by the same person when the questionnaire is being repeated. It also presents possible solutions to cope with these pitfalls.

Why is it important?

Due to the combination of disseminating questionnaires, personal observations in situ, and repetition of the questionnaire it was possible to explore possible pitfalls and solutions to cope with it.
