Why is it important?
It is important that we consider the foundational relationships we have with our parents and the impact of our life experiences. LIfe writing opens authors and readers to greater awareness, empathy and understanding. We can appreciate our textured lives, our resilience and courage and open to forgiveness and compassion for ourselves and for others.
Perspectives
Writing this has supported my grieving, my healing and the processing of some pretty confronting experiences. This has been important for me as a person, for my profession as an educator, and for my connection with others as part of humanity.
