What is it about?

Translators of the 21st century are expected to make an efficient use of new technologies in an ever demanding market/society. Therefore, lecturers must teach translator trainees to exploit the translation technology available to them, what entails a number of difficulties at cognitive, procedural and attitudinal levels. In this paper, these problems are examined within the context of an innovative education project set up to pave the way in this learning process, to improve the development of the required skills, to foster the use of translation technology among translator trainees, and to prepare them for the translation professional environment.
