What is it about?

The work focuses on using the carbon fiber in carbon fiber/carbon composites to help make bonded joints stronger when the joining technique is welding based. The carbon fiber reinforcements are shown the react with the welding materials, consuming certain chemical species and thus controlling the growth of unwanted species.
