What is it about?
Water injection is very popular to increase the oil reservoirs pressure. It is now proved that enriching the water with some specific ions could assist the oil recovery and enhance it more. Sulfate is known for its well activity to make the surfaces water wet for better oil removal from the reservoir rock.

Perspectives
This article is the outcome of the PhD thesis of my great friend, Mostafa, as he started working with me almost ten years ago on Enhanced Oil Recovery. Many publications have been out so far out of this very outstanding job.
