What is it about?

This investigation reveals the integrity of multiple nano-grooves on a surface achievable by the technique of nano-milling. The research concludes that the minimum wall thickness between two nano-grooves is dependent on residual stress distributions.

Why is it important?

This work provides insight for the design and implementation of processes for fabricating nano-grooves on functional surfaces

Perspectives

High speed nano-grooving in functional surfaces is still a challenge in nanoscale fabrication. We hope to demonstrate a cost-effective way using the nano-milling approach.
