We show the factors on which support for populist radical right parties depend in Central and Eastern Europe

Why is it important?

It is important because we show that there are both commonalities with the factors that affect support for populist radical right parties in the West and differences: some factors are specific to the Central and Eastern Europe, and some even work in the opposite direction than they do in Western Europe

Perspectives

One of the findings I like most is that, whereas immigration is the most common explanatory factor in the West, in the East the most common one is Euroscepticism
