What is it about?

Using a survey that tells us what Australians ate we calculated how much and where people get cereal fibre from.

Why is it important?

This is a new angle to look at what we eat. We previously could only look at total fibre in foods.

Perspectives

Food composition databases such as the one we created for and applied in this research allow us to look at all on the contributions in a food not just the ones we expect to contain the fibre.
