How are transitions made within a university career?

What is it about?

There were three ways in which students made transitions during their degrees. They learned the conventions of academic writing; they developed their critical skills; and they understood how they could prioritize learning over the other issues impacting on them.

Why is it important?

This publication offers a longitudinal view of the connections between learning, participation in practice and identity across the lifetime of a student’s degree program whereas most only show what happens over a student's first year.
