What is it about?

This paper introduces the idea of behavioral schemas for proving and gives six important features of them. It also gives examples of university students' work in our proofs course that shows some detrimental behavioral schemas.

Why is it important?

This is a new idea and can explain a lot of automated behavior during proving

Perspectives

This paper is the result of a number of years of theoretical work and data collection. I think the illustrative examples of individual students' work are particularly interesting and informative.
