What is it about?

We explored neuroscience knowledge on teachers and results indicated the unclear issues for teachers: memory, plasticity and the myth that ‘we only use 10% of the brain’. In addition, anecdotal evidence was used by teachers to justify their conceptions about neuroscience. We discuss the implications of those results for neuroscience and education area.

There is limited investigation of neuroscience conceptions and neuromyths focused exclusively on preschool teachers, although preschool education has proved its importance to later academic outcomes.
