What is it about?

It is about difference of muscle thickness in deep extensor and flexor muscles in healthy and cervicogenic headache. Because of cervicogenic headache and musculoskeletal impairment in the upper deep cervical muscles, in these muscle the thickness might changed, and this study was assessed this point and compared the muscles of healthy and cervicogenic headache.

Why is it important?

Increased knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of cervicogenic headache by sonogrphy examining , what happens to the upper cervical muscles in these patients, compared to healthy individuals.

Perspectives

Deep upper cervical muscles were atrophic synergically due to CGH but this phenomenon was not related to the headache side and was bilateral so in the CGH treatment, correction of these muscles contraction pattern was very important.
