A review of Richard Seymour’s Corbyn, an updated edition which looked at Corbyn’s achievement in gaining leadership of the British Labor party and overcoming in the first national election the two party political establishment which desperately sought to defeat him and his attempt to revive the party’s socialist perspective

Why is it important?

After the publication, The forces Seymour described and their own Project Fear succeeded in decisively defeating Corbyn. Today with a different formal political structure, a comparable Project Fear in the desperate attempt to defeat Bernie Sanders campaign for the Democratic nomination on a program seeking to revive the party’s New Deal Great Society traditions updating them and defining them as Democratic socialism

Perspectives

I strongly supported the work in my review essay and still do inspite of Corbyn’s defeat. Americans especially who are participants rather than spectators of political action can read this work and apply its lessons to the coming 2020 electione
