Why is it important?

Reading is beneficial to many aspects of education and personal growth yet, in an age of technology and instantaneous gratification, there is a danger of young people reading less. It is important for educators to investigate into this and understand what can be done to motivate young people to read more.

Perspectives

Undertaking this case study and working with the students was a great pleasure, as I got to have an insight into their reading lives. I would encourage all educators to undertake a similar project with their classes in order to promote an open, dialogic approach to reading.
