What is it about?

High-entropy alloy nanoparticles distributed on multi-walled carbon nanotubes are prepared by Joule heating as an example to explain the mechanism of trifunctional electrocatalysis for oxygen reduction, oxygen evolution, and hydrogen evolution reaction.

Why is it important?

High-entropy materials are considered one of the most promising multifunctional electrocatalysts due to their tunable composition, electronic structure, and excellent stability. However, a limited understanding of the relationship between metal sites and reaction intermediates in High-entropy materials hinders their development in catalysis.

Perspectives

It is hoped that high entropy materials will attract more researchers' attention and be applied in more fields in the future.
