What is it about?

We present an electro-magneto-fluid dynamics (EMFD) model for flows with two phases (two immiscible fluids). We used some equations from electromagnetics and fluid dynamics and we derived certain new equations. Afterwards, we added them to a software for computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Finally, we tested it and we obtained good results.

Why is it important?

This is the first time that this was done. In this work a new part of physics is derived and the quality of the results is shown. This work could merge electromagnetics and fluid dynamics into one field. Very good predictions for the electrospinning process are also an important result of this work. The electrospinning process has certain number of usages. Hence, our model could be helpful to the society.
