What is it about?
Bistability is an intriguing phenomenon exhibited by a wide variety of physical systems. In this work, we experimentally demonstrate an ultra-sensitive bistability coupled to light switching in a heterojunction bipolar superlattice transistor. A self-consistent quantitative model is used to rigorously explain the observed phenomenon.
