What is it about?

Here is presents an acoustic metamaterial for low-frequency energy control based on labyrinthine tubes periodical. Dispersion relation and ultra-low phase velocity obtain in the structure allow a better undertanding it is behavior. The experimental tests confirm that the metamaterial has a effective sound energy control bellow first bandgap.
