What is it about?

A new accessory instrument capable of maintaining any microparticle-filled solution stable during the electrospinning process. We describe the experimental setup, prove its effectiveness through different experiments and study the theory behind its success.

Why is it important?

It opens the door to research on hierarchical nonwovens of polymeric nanofibers with microparticle inclusions, which can be useful in many technological applications, by solving a problem that had not been solved before in literature. It may also help in any application where it is necessary to maintain a microparticle suspension stable for hours or days.

Perspectives

I believe that in the coming years, many researchers will be able to benefit from this clever solution to a very common technical problem.
