What is it about?
We measured and analytically predicted the force required to separate the ice particles after they stick together under some pressing force. We quantify this separating force as a function of the temperature, ice particle size, pressing force, and pressing duration.

Why is it important?
Understanding these kind of micromechanical behaviour has great implications on understanding the behaviour of larger systems like snow, and to move toward working on the effects of climate change et ceter.
Perspectives
I think this is very interesting to quantify the sticking force as a function of different variables reliably.
